Scott Goodrick, a Credit Manager for a Motor Dealership in Brisbane, has just returned from a 4-week trek in Nepal. Scott had been promising himself for the last 25 years to take on this adventure and now that his children have grown up and left home the opportunity had come. He told Hartbeat 'This is my first major trip without the children and if i dont do it now, i may not do it at all'.
He undertook 4 weeks of localised training for the 4 week journey, which included some 19 days of trekking. On day one of his journey towards the Nepalase village of Phakding (altitude 2600 m) en route to the Everest Base Station, Scott was surprised when he came across an Aussie icon proudly working away delivering "Hot water free from the sun". Scott sent in the photo to Hartbeat said 'Wow something from Australia way out here'. It was such a sight he just had to take this photograph.
